2008 ART COMPETITION
Las Vegas Nevada State Museum: November 7, 2008 - August 15, 2009
The vision of the “2009 Las Vegas Showgirl Art Competition” is to capture the spirit of the Las Vegas Showgirl and production shows for which Las Vegas is world famous. The competition is an extension of the Fourth Annual Cast and Crew Reunion that brings together five decades of entertainers to celebrate their rich history that is the soul of our city. The artwork of the top 25 artists will be displayed at the Nevada Historical Society, Barnes & Noble, the Fourth Annual Cast and Crew Reunion, on the website www.castandcrewreunion.com, and other select venues. The project connects the visual and performing arts with a stunning combination of Art from the competition and vintage Costumes from the production shows that reflects the magic and history of this marvelous era.
